The Export Customer Service Representative will have responsibility to provide superior customer service by focusing on the individual needs of each customer, directly or through the support of other team members, promoting long-term customer relationships and customer loyalty. Previous experience in exports highly desired! Day shift!
Responsibilities include
- Coordinate and schedule pick-up of wine with wineries and trucking companies.
- Book containers with steamship lines.
- Issue documentation for export shipment (AES, AWB, House B/L)
- Invoice the customers or our overseas offices.
- Establish good relationship with our customers and vendor.
- Update and maintain shipment information in our window based order processing program.
- Communicate with trucking companies, shipping lines, and Customers.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills (telephone and email) are essential as the interaction w/ customers and vendors on the phone and by email is a major part of the job.
- Team player with proven ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Freight Forwarder Operations including the following: NVOCC knowledge, AES.
- Good problem solving skills with the ability to seek alternative solutions for dilemmas and problems.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-up.
- Adaptability to changes in a fast pace work environment - manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change or unexpected events.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office Products, especially Outlook and Excel.
- Professional aptitude, presentation and demeanor.
- Posses organization skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Detailed oriented.
- Ability to work a 40 hour work week on a regular basis is essential.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English is essential.
- Customer focused with the ability able to maintain composure during difficult times.
- Can quickly learn new skills.
- Organization and time management skills.
- Prior International or Export experience preferred
- Prior Customer Service experience required.
